“Baking is my meditation and designing cakes is my absolute passion.”

“Buckle up, Folks! I have a baking tale to tell you, and it’s filled with equal parts of disaster and triumph.

When COVID-19 lockdown hit in Australia, my little munchkin requested a cake for her birthday. Being the cool mom that I am, I decided to bake one for her. However, the only problem was that I had never baked a cake before. Not even a simple cupcake! I called my elder sister for some guidance, but all she managed to give me was a recipe that turned out to be a complete disaster. I ended up with a burnt, inedible cake, and I swear I could hear the cake laughing at me!

But, hey, I wasn’t one to be defeated easily. I promised myself that I would make a cake so delicious and beautiful that it would knock everyone’s socks off. I spent the next six months experimenting with different recipes and flavours. I tried and failed, tried and failed, and tried again until I finally mastered the art of creating mouth-watering cakes.

And that’s when I turned my attention to the buttercream. I was on a mission to find the perfect texture and consistency, more stable, and perfect sweetness. I scoured YouTube, social media, and blogs, and even enrolled in a baking school to up my game. But let me tell you, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes, my buttercream would curdle, and other times, it wouldn’t have the right texture. But I didn’t give up. I persevered, and one day, I nailed it! That day, I felt like a baking goddess!

From then on, I knew that I wanted to create cakes that were not only delicious but also told a story. That’s when I founded Blow the Candle, a company dedicated to baking unique and personalized cakes that add a touch of magic to my customers’ special occasions.”
